Trusted Garage Door Repair for Ontario Homeowners

Garage door repair in Ontario, CA typically costs between $150 and $600, with most spring, cable, and track work completed the same day we diagnose it. We’re Servo Garage Doors Ontario, and we’ve been making garage doors right since 2015, with more than 18,000 jobs behind us, every one of them quoted in writing before work started. When your door won’t open, or worse, won’t stay closed, you want a named technician on the way, not a callback window. Call (951) 470-2012 and you’ll reach a live person, 24 hours a day.

Call (951) 470-2012

What separates us from every other garage door company in Ontario is simple: we photograph the failed component before quoting a replacement. That’s Clause 4 of The Haven Standard, the operating agreement we’ve worked under since 2015. You see what we see. Then you decide. Marcus Deller runs our Ontario operation, and he’s the reason our technicians show up in uniform, background-checked, and carrying a camera before a clipboard.

What Our Garage Door Repair Service Includes

Every repair starts with the same question: what actually failed? Not what’s worn, not what’s old, not what someone thinks might go next. What failed, right now. We answer that question with a visual inspection, a written diagnosis, and a flat price before any tool comes out. Here’s what we fix, and how we fix it.

Panel Replacement

A dented or cracked panel isn’t just cosmetic. Once the outer skin is compromised, water gets in, rust starts, and the structural rigidity of the door drops with it. We replace individual panels on most major brands, matching color and profile so the door doesn’t look patched. In Ontario’s hot, dry summers, sun-damaged panels on west-facing garages are a call we get at least twice a week.

Panel Replacement

Spring Repair

Torsion springs do the heavy lifting, counterbalancing the full weight of the door, which on a double-wide can exceed 150 pounds. When one breaks, which it eventually will, the door either won’t lift or slams down hard. We measure the wire diameter, coil count, and spring length before ordering or pulling a replacement from the truck. This is the single most common repair we perform in Ontario, and the one we will never rush.

A broken torsion spring is under tension even when it’s failed, and attempting to remove or adjust one without the right winding bars and training has caused serious injury. We recommend leaving spring work to a trained professional, and we say that as the people who do it every day.

Spring Repair

Cable Repair

The lifting cables run along both sides of the door and connect the spring system to the bottom brackets. When one frays or snaps, the door can cock sideways, and the remaining cable takes double the load. Our Cable Repair replaces cables in pairs as a rule, because a cable that hasn’t failed yet has usually been wearing at the same rate as the one that did. Frayed strands are visible if you look, and they’re one of the first things we inspect on a tune-up.

Cable Repair

Track Realignment

The vertical and horizontal tracks guide the rollers, and they have to be parallel and plumb or the door binds and jerks. Ontario’s temperature swings cause metal to expand and contract, and over years, brackets loosen and tracks drift. We check gap spacing every few feet, re-align the track, and torque all brackets to spec. A door that used to sound like a freight train quiets down fast once the tracks are true again.

Track Realignment

Roller Replacement

Rollers wear at different rates depending on the material: steel rollers get noisy, nylon rollers chip, and both eventually seize. A seized roller flattens on one side and stops rolling, which means the door is scraping along the track instead of gliding. We handle Roller Replacement in sets, and we stock both standard and heavy-duty options on the truck. If your door has started sounding grinding or squealing from the sides, this is usually the cause.

Roller Replacement

Sensor Calibration

The photo-eye sensors near the bottom of the door send an invisible beam across the opening. If that beam is interrupted or misaligned, the door reverses when it shouldn’t or refuses to close. Dirt, vibration from daily use, and even direct sunlight can knock sensors out of alignment. We perform Sensor Calibration-cleaning, checking, and calibrating both sensors-then run a close-and-reverse test to confirm they’re doing their job before we leave.

Brands We Service for Garage Door Repair

Brands We Service for Garage Door Repair

We service all eight major brands: LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, Craftsman, and Raynor. That’s not a marketing line, it’s an inventory decision. We stock OEM and equivalent parts for each of them on our trucks, because nothing slows down a repair like driving back to the shop for a logic board or a carriage assembly.

LiftMaster and Chamberlain openers share a lot of architecture, and we’ve repaired enough of them to know which logic-board failures are real and which are just a limit switch that lost its memory. Craftsman doors, common in Ontario’s older subdivisions north of the 10, often come to us with worn trolley carriages and stripped drive gears. Raynor doors, more common in newer builds east of the 15, have their own spring and hinge geometry, and we carry the parts to match. Whether your door is a Craftsman from the 1990s or a Raynor installed last year, we can source and install what it needs.

Signs You Need Garage Door Repair Right Now

  • The door opens a few inches, then stops or reverses. This often points to a failing logic board or a sensor that’s lost its alignment. The safety systems are doing their job, but the door isn’t, and the problem won’t correct itself.
  • The door is louder than it was last month. Grinding, squealing, or a sharp pop are not aging, they’re wear. A loud roller or dry bearing is cheap to fix now and expensive to ignore for six months.
  • One side of the door sits lower than the other. A sagging door means a cable is failing or a spring has lost tension unevenly. The longer it runs out of balance, the more strain goes on the opener and the remaining hardware.
  • The door shakes or jerks while moving. This is almost always track misalignment or a worn roller set. Ignoring it accelerates wear on every moving part, including the opener motor itself.
  • You can see visible fraying on the cables or a gap in the spring. A frayed cable is a mechanical time bomb, and a gap in a torsion spring means it has already snapped. Don’t operate the door. Call us, and we’ll send a technician.

Our Garage Door Repair Process - Step by Step

Our Garage Door Repair Process - Step by Step

We built our process around one idea: you should never pay for a garage door repair you don’t understand. Here’s exactly what happens when you call us in Ontario.

  1. 1
You call, a person answers. No phone tree, no “your call is important to us.” A live dispatcher takes your information and schedules a technician, with an on-the-way text so you know who’s coming and when.
  2. 2
The technician inspects and photographs. The first thing our technician does is find the failed component. Then they photograph it. Clause 4 of The Haven Standard means you see the broken spring, the frayed cable, the bent track, before anyone quotes you a dollar. The technician explains what they found using the real names: the torsion spring measured at 0.225-inch wire diameter and snapped clean at the coil, the right-side cable has seven broken strands, the lower roller seized and flat-spotted.
  3. 3
You receive a written price and written scope. Before any work starts, you get a flat price on paper. Not an estimate with a range, not a “we’ll see once we get into it.” A written number and a written description of exactly what will be done. Clause 1 of The Haven Standard. If the price needs to change once work begins, which is rare, we stop and get your written approval first.
  4. 4
The repair is completed with parts from the truck. Most repairs, including spring replacement, cable replacement, roller sets, and sensor calibration, are completed on the first visit because we stock the parts. The technician works clean, tests the door through full open and close cycles, and runs the safety checks required by the manufacturer and by code.
  5. 5
You get a documented photo record and a written warranty. Before the technician leaves, they walk you through what was done and show you the after photos next to the before photos. You receive a documented photo record, a written warranty on the repair, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing. If the repair isn’t right, we make it right. There’s no handshake clause, just a terms page and a company that stands behind it.

How Much Does Garage Door Repair Cost in Ontario?

Most garage door repairs in Ontario fall between $150 and $600, depending on what failed and what brand of door or opener you have. Here’s what we quote, in writing, before any work starts.

  • Spring Repair: $180-$340, depending on spring size and whether it’s a single or double spring system.
  • Cable Repair: $130-$250, including both cables replaced as a pair.
  • Opener Repair: $120-$320, depending on the component (logic board, limit switch, carriage, drive gear).
  • Panel Replacement: $250-$500 per panel, depending on material and brand.
  • Track Realignment: $120-$240, including bracket re-torque and roller inspection.
  • Roller Replacement: $110-$220 for a full set, standard or heavy-duty.
  • Sensor Calibration: $120-$250, including cleaning, alignment, and safety testing.

What affects the price: the age and brand of your door, whether we can match existing components or need to upgrade for compatibility, and how much adjustment is required after the repair. What shouldn’t affect the price: a technician’s mood, your zip code within Ontario, or whether you scheduled for a Tuesday or a Saturday.

How to avoid overpaying: ask for the price in writing before the work starts. If a company won’t put a number on paper, that’s your signal. We’ve offered a Free Second Opinion on any written estimate from another company since 2015. Bring us their paperwork, and we’ll tell you if the scope and price make sense. Every estimate is free, and the price we quote is the price you pay, agreed upon before work begins.
